We are looking to bring on an experienced Sales Manager/Business Development Manager with a strong background in the cyber security industry.

ABOUT S-RM

The S-RM Cyber security business unit is one of the fastest growing teams within S-RM. We have experienced exceptional growth over the last 12 months through significant client wins, and are now looking for a cyber security business development hire to help maintain and accelerate the growth of the business unit.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling consultancy in a sales or business development capacity across various cyber security domains such as ethical hacking, risk & governance and incident response. The candidate will have preferrably had experience selling cyber advisory services at a consulting firm and will be able to engage with senior decision makers at all sizes of organisations as well as partners.

At S-RM we focus on providing our clients with clear, conscise and pragmatic advice that helps them solve complex information security challenges through a collaborative and consultative approach. We have built our reputation on a client centric approach that means clients trust us and want to work with us as though we are an extension of their own teams. Our new hire for business development will be the first representation of our firm to new prospects, so trust, clarity and transparency will need to be a key part of the approach.

As a business development manager for cyber security you will have a direct report to the Head of Sales and to the Head of Cyber Security. As the first focused cyber security sales person this is an excellent opportunity to capitalise on the growth the business unit and build a successful career in the industry.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop leads and nurture prospects across multiple industries, generate pipeline and support negotiations with qualified opportunities.
  • Plan and develop constructive relationships with channel partners such as insurance and technology providers.
  • Track and report on all leads, opportunities, pipeline and projects to senior management and the sales team.
  • Liase with other business units on a regular basis to understand firm wide cross-selling opportunities that may involve cyber.
  • Work closely with the S-RM marketing team to organise events, webinars and other outreach campaigns.
  • Attend industry forums, tradeshows and events as required.

LOCATION

The role will be based in our London office.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The qualifications and experience required to perform this role successfully are:

  • 3+ years experience selling cyber security consultancy.
  • Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Understanding of a wide range of information security and IT methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques.
  • The candidate will be able to demonstrate success in cyber security consultancy sales, preferably within the penetration testing space.

The individual will need to have the following key personal skills and attributes to perform successfully in this role:

  • Interest in, and aptitude for, the business and technical issues encountered across the S-RM international client base.
  • Excellent communication, writing and negotiation skills, as well as cooperation and teamwork.
  • Strong organisational and presentation skills; S-RM is a fast-paced environment that requires a dilligent, flexible individual who is able to at think on their feet.
  • Collaboration within S-RM - We are developing a number of cross business unit services and products. This hire will need to know how to work with others outside the team to understand their services and bring different teams together.
  • Independent and strategic thinking - as a fast growing business in an industry that is evolving quickly, we are looking for somone who can think independently, see opportunities and build their own presence within a particular sector.

ELIGIBILITY

The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
