Temporary role working for a couple of months, end date is TBC
Based at
Goldsworth Park Health Centre, Denton Way, Woking, Surrey,
Developmental Paediatric Service
GU21 3LQ
looking for 22.5 per week
Monday - Friday
Up to the individual (could do 3 long days or 4 or 5 shorter days) between the hours of 9-5pm
Duties will be
To act as a Receptionist for visitors to the Community Mental Health Recovery Service and to ensure the smooth running of the office by providing efficient administrative support for the CMHRS including medical staff, CPNs and Social Workers
Key Relationships: To liaise with staff within the CMHRS, inpatient Unit, GPs, service users, their carers and other health professionals as appropriate.
Principal Duties
To ensure that all equiries are dealt with in an appropriate and polite manner and that an appropriate response is initiated.
To effectively respond, in a timely manner, to queiries from people who use services, carers and visitors.
Liaise and maintain pleasant and collaborative working relationships.
To be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of client data in accordance with Trust policy.
To be able to use RiO and Swift, the Trust's and Surrey County Council electronic health record. This will include checking client data to ensure it synchronised correctly, checking client appointments as well as uploading clinical information on to RiO as required.
To photocopy, fax and send out clinical correspondence.
To tactfully exchange verbal and written information with clients and staff
To take and pass on accurate messages via telephone calls/messages from visitors when necessary.
To be aware and sensitive towards those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
To report issues which need management attention.
To implement Trust and team policies/procedures and propose changes to practices if necessary.
General
a) All staff will have a sound awareness of Safeguarding issues and be clear about their respective roles and responsibilities to report, respond to and share information in relation to Safeguarding Adults, Safeguarding Children, Domestic Abuse and Public Protection.

b) All staff will have a knowledge of and adhere to the Data Protection Act and will not disclosure to any person or organisation, any confidential information that comes into their possession in the course of their employment.
c) To fully participate in the Trust's performance review and personal development planning process on an annual basis.
d) Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with line manager as part of the personal development planning process.
e) To achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales.
f) To contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which he/she works.
g) To undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager which are commensurate with the role, including project work, internal job rotation and absence cover.
h) To contribute to a healthy and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and Trust policies.
i) To contribute to the prevention and control of health care associated infection by adhering to Trust policies and guidelines.
