Job Description:

IT Project Manager required by Nationwide Retail Company based in Amersham and are offering £45k pa. Working within the IT Development Team and reporting to the Head of Applications and Infrastructure you will be responsible for successfully panning and delivering internal business change projects. The Project Manager will manage and work closely with the necessary internal and external stakeholders and resources through the full life cycle of each project to deliver projects to scope, on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have sound understanding of project management methodology and good understanding of retail.

Responsibilities include;

·Day to Day management of the project team (IT & Business) & 3rd parties to achieve all project deliverables & objectives

·Chair & organise required meetings & conference calls assigning/recording actions

·Define & document project scope & definition achieving business sign-off

·Ensure that business requirements are captured & signed-off by stakeholders

·Ensure that technical solution is agreed & signed-off as required

·Define & manage project plans, risks, issues & change requests

·Escalation & resolution of issues impacting assigned projects

·Provide weekly reports to ensure effective communication of project status

·Provide effective stakeholder management & communication

·Implementation of project best practice & a right first time approach

·Ensure knowledge & skills transition into support teams is effective to enable them to provide ongoing support & maintenance

·Hold post project reviews, documenting & sharing project learnings

·Budget tracking & reporting

Ideal skills;

·2-5 years project management experience in a retail environment

·Knowledge & use of structured project management methodologies

·Highly driven, self-motivated & confident to succeed under pressure

·Experience of managing multiple overlapping projects

·Excellent reporting & communication skills to IT & Business teams

·Matrix resource management & managing 3rd party development teams

·Able to accept responsibility & delegate with confidence

·Ability to converse with both technical & business teams

·Experience of project budget control
