Retail Service Desk Analyst (Retail, Service Desk, SAP, AS400) - London

The principal activity of our client is the international retailing and wholesaling of fashion clothing, accessories and homeware. The business operates in the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia and product ranges are available through owned retail outlets, franchised and licensed stores, department stores, independent retailers and ecommerce.

The Service Desk Manager manages a group of analysts who provide support for all services, User provisioning and monitoring and resolution of any issues affecting IT services and infrastructure.

The Retail Service Desk Analyst (Retail, Service Desk, SAP, AS400) will:

* Providing support for all IT products and services.

* Field, record and action standard user requests and enquiries.

* Use IT Helpdesk software to create, work on and update support tickets.

* Maintenance and creation of knowledgebase articles

* Follow documented procedures to manage secure access to IT systems for starters, leavers and any internal staffing changes.

* Efficiently and effectively investigate, diagnose, progress and action all operational events, alerts and incidents to the agreed target, ensuring that issues are escalated where appropriate, communicated and recorded.

* Use standard management tools and processes to carry out defined housekeeping and restoration procedures where necessary.

* Maintain operation logs on all events, warnings and alerts, as well as recording and classifying all messages.

* Ensure that all routine housekeeping tasks are completed in a timely manner.

* Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for escalation of production issues ensuring that they meet the terms and conditions of their defined service levels

* Maintain the production schedules using production scheduling tools.

* Ensure that all operational security policies, processes and procedures are adhered too.

Skills and Experience of the Retail Service Desk Analyst (Retail, Service Desk, SAP, AS400) - London

* Experience working in an ITIL Service Desk team (Retail experience desirable)

* Previous business systems support experience

* Basic knowledge of the following would be an advantage:

* Applications: Experience of supporting bespoke applications particularly experience of SAP, AS400, Cronacle, Retail Java.

* Active Directory and Group Policy

* IP Networks

* Basic Databases knowledge (SQL)

* Exchange & Outlook support experience

* Microsoft Office support experience

* Telephony support experience would be an advantage

* Hardware Support experience: Servers, Desktops, Printers, NAS storage, Backup Systems

* Excellent Customer Service and interpersonal skills are essential

* Enthusiastic self-starter
