Job Description:

Insight Employment are seeking a Trainee Automotive Engineer for a client based in Milton Keynes.
The role in brief:
* To batch check, inspect and report on engine parts that have been produced to our exacting standards and prove that they match with the associated drawings & samples.
* Report all findings through our internal systems and follow these through to a positive result.
* A certain amount of warranty work would be required in way of reporting. It would entail "rolling up your sleeve" approach on occasions but all within our tech room.
* A certain amount of warranty work would be required in way of reporting. It would entail "rolling up your sleeve" approach on occasions but all within our tech room.
* The understanding of "CMM" (coordinate-measuring machines) would be advantageous along with CAD and manufacturing process through CNC manufacturing processes
Must be;
* A team player
* Be competent and able to complete the task
Points that would be advantageous to this role would be;
* Essential - working with excel, word and being able to report failure & findings
* Have the ability to work with someone who can train to analyse, and fault find automotive engine parts
* A good understanding of engine components and their workings.
* Being prepared on being taught how to read production or design drawings.
* CAD - If you were able to use this programme would be an advantage
* Measuring equipment - hardness testers, camshaft profiles, micrometres, use of campro plus - training can be given to the right candidate
* CMM - Advantageous
* CNC processes - advantageous.
Salary
Between 18,000 - 20,000k depending on experience.
