HR GO Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Housekeeping/Cleaning Supervisor for one of our clients in Oxfordshire to join a busy team at one of Oxford's Hospitals.

In this role you will lead and motivate a team of cleaners while coordinating daily tasks and duties.

The Role

Duties include but are not limited to;

Supervisor a team of housekeeping staff and be responsible for maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Manage a team of domestic staff, assigning work and ensuring adequate cover using allocation sheets.

Manage all aspects of time keeping, absence, holidays, quality of work, productivity, and uniform standards and appearance, and take control of any informal conversations or counselling meetings related to this.

Complete paper work accordingly, and in time. Carry out audits and contribute to surveys.

Offer and provide support for domestic staff including additional training whilst ensuring that all day to day duties are always up to date and maintained.

The ideal Candidate

You will be assertive, and well organised, and be able to manage a team of 8-10 people supervising and monitoring performance, while liaising and work in co-operation with ward and department staff. You will have the ability to work in a team, and work from own initiative and be sensitive to your surroundings at all times. You will have a 'can-do' attitude to work and be flexible and have the willingness to learn. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to work with a diverse range of people.

Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE

Hours

37.5 hours per week (7.00am-3.00pm or 8.00am-4.00pm)

Pay Rate

£12.00-14.00 per hour (depending on experience) on a temp to perm basis.

Requirements

Previous experience in cleaning and management experience is essential.

CRB/DBS certificate dated within 3 months is required for this role.

If you don't have DBS we can obtain one for you, however please note; if you decide not to take the role or leave before completing 5 weeks you will be liable for the cost of DBS Certificate. (£56.00)
