Customer Sales & Service Team Leader

Job Location: Poole, Dorset.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Excellent starting salary

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, 8:45am - 4:45pm + free onsite parking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands on Business to Business Customer Sales & Service Team Leader to join an ever-growing B2B e-commerce company who have been established over 20 years and lead their small but high spirited team based in Poole.

This is a newly created role born out of company expansion and the high demand for the company's product range. With that the company is seeking this individual to already have a wealth of experience within this area to take leadership of the department and help drive forward the customer service and incoming sales opportunities.

This well-established company are the leaders in their field and possess a strong online presence as well as a loyal customer base which only keeps on growing, due to this they have now created a brand new position for an ambitious and creative Business to Business Customer Sales & Service Team Leader to continue to drive the business forward.

This excellent opportunity will see you contributing to business success and growth by not only guiding and supporting your team but also implementing fresh ideas / processes to ensure the customer journey and experience is always at the highest level it can be.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that first class customer service is provided at all times and making sure enquiries through web, email and telephone are responded to in prompt, helpful and friendly manner.
  • Working closely with your whole company including purchasing and despatch to ensure deadlines are met and orders are delivered within set timescales.
  • Recognising further sales opportunities within every enquiry and making sure customers are aware of the extensive product range and accessories available, naturally promoting cross selling / upselling.
  • Being commercially astute by consistently monitoring costings / margins and producing reports on relevant information to reflect adherence to KPI's.
  • Take ownership of decisions that need to be made under pressure to make sure customers receive orders and business continues to thrive.
  • Consistently monitor and analyse business performance and use this information to implement new processes and ideas to benefit both customers and the company.
  • Take ownership of escalations and negotiate a suitable outcome.
  • Playing an integral part to senior management meetings by presenting figures, KPI's and new ideas.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with:

  • Previous experience leading / guiding a team within a customer sales & service environment.
  • Experience of working within a company has supplied and sold a product via online, telephone and email enquiries.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of leading a team, guiding them through training and development.
  • A forward thinking, hands on approach with a passion for delivering positive results.
  • An analytical and commercially astute mind who can work with figures, costings and margins.
  • The drive and ambition to develop their career within a well-established company.
  • Strong IT Skills - Proficient with Word, Excel & Outlook.

This fast paced and varied position requires a driven and enthusiastic individual who can think quickly on their feet and be able to make decisions under pressure to ensure orders go out of the door on time and strong customer relationships are maintained.

Hours: core hours are Monday - Friday 8:45am - 4:45pm. There may be from time to time a requirement to work outside of these hours to cover business demands.
