Job Title: Internal Audit Manager Location: Edinburgh

Your new company
Your new firm are a mid-tier firm of chartered accountants. As an international firm, this organisation have multiple offices across the word with local offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. This organisation are keen to continue to grow their Internal Audit practice, which has grown significantly in the past two years. The firm offer a broad range of accounting services, offering specialist services such as corporate finance, risk, forensics and advisory.

Your new role
As an Internal Audit manager, you will work within a successful Internal Audit team assisting with a wide range of assignments. You will be facing off to senior stakeholders across a range of organisations and as a leader within the team you will support the director and partner in providing coaching and support to the growing team. Additionally, you will ensure work progresses in line with team procedures and within budget, to the expected timescales and that a high quality file is prepared in compliance with the firm's standards and procedures. You will have high levels of client contact and will therefore manage their expectations. You will also prepare for and attend client meetings, including audit committee meetings. You will be responsible for managing the work in progress on client portfolios against agreed budgets, maximise recoveries on client portfolio against agreed targets, prepare fees as appropriate and highlight any potential problems ahead of time. You will develop and maintain positive client relationships, be involved in client seminars and training sessions.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong client and stakeholder relationship skills coupled with the ability to lead and perform complex and detailed audit engagements. You will hold a professional accountancy qualification such as CA, ACA or ACCA, a track record in building and maintaining a portfolio of clients would also be advantageous
