Job Description:

Your opportunity

This isn't your typical Audit Manager's role.
Whether you want part time, full time or sometime in between, our award winning agile working culture could help you achieve the kind of work life balance you're looking for.

It's technically challenging, highly rewarding and has great career prospects, just as you would expect from a business like ours. But what's unusual is that it is office based, so there is very little travel involved.

Join us and you'll be joining a growing team of committed, highly motivated people who are successfully helping to deliver the outstanding level of service our clients expect.

Your role

As a qualified and experienced accountant, you will join our trusted team of Audit Managers who manage external audits and independent risk reviews remotely. Supporting our client engagement teams across the UK, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of clients across multiple industry sectors, or specialise if you prefer. The breadth and complexity of work on offer presents ample opportunity to progress your career in whichever way you choose.

Our respected team are at the heart of our Centre of Excellence for Audit and Assurance and have a strategic role to play in our firm's success. As a central resource who reviews, checks and challenges audits, our Remote Audit Managers help to instil confidence in our clients of a job well done.

But it's also their ability to deliver efficient, reliable and cost-effective working practices that makes them really shine. And we'll make sure you do too. Thanks to the wealth of training and development opportunities available, we'll make sure your technical and soft skills keep you ahead of the game.

Responsibilities

• Managing key audit relationships across our international corporate business client base
• Ensuring the effective use of the firm's Audit Delivery Centre's
• Testing and evaluating controls and procedures and producing subsequent reports
• Supporting the wider Audit practice in delivering a high quality client experience by sharing best practice insights
• Managing diverse teams within an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Your work, your choice

How long does impact take? How long is a piece of string? How many seconds does a solution contain? How can we possibly tell? After all, impact can be huge or small. Immediate or years in the making. At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk.
We, therefore, carefully consider agile ways of working, both formal and informal, that allow for the best impact for our people and our clients.

Location: You will be based from one of our UK offices, but this role is suitable for some home-working.
Suggested work pattern: We are open to a range of work patterns from part-time to term-time to full time working. Tell us know what your preferred working arrangements would be; we can find a portfolio to fit a variety of patterns.

Your professional experience

You will have:
• ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) along with a knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
• Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing and a sound understanding of risk management
• An ability to constructively challenge and demonstrate discretion
• Demonstrable experience of managing teams effectively;
• Project management skills, with a proven ability to manage time and resources efficiently;
• Experience in building effective working relationships with business stakeholders and team members
• High level of attention to detail

Your service line

Audit & Assurance
An imperative for all at Deloitte, innovation lives in Audit & Assurance as fully as in any other field. From process automation to reframing our team structure, we're on a constant drive for positive transformation - for our clients and our people. With robots now taking care of routine tasks here, for example, you're free to focus on what you do best: interpreting information, collaborating and communicating. You won't be limited by sector experience either; we recognise that your skills and knowledge, wherever you gained them, can have a positive impact anywhere. You'll work across industries, and with colleagues throughout the firm, to give clients the information and insights they need to make great decisions.
