Job Description:

One to One Recruitment in York are working with GREAT RAIL JOURNEYS to recruit an experienced Product Manager who will join a passionate and friendly team who are responsible for the creation and development of their tours which deliver planned volume, margin and revenue targets across all of their brands.

The Product Manager ensures that GREAT RAIL JOURNEYS tours are the most competitive in the market whilst still maintaining and improving quality and that the programme is right sized.

The team (and head office) is based in York but you can be part home/part office based (flexible) and you role will involve the following:

  • Leadership of the Product development life cycle and master itineraries for a given geography.
  • Responsible for accurate product briefs and brochurecontent, delivered within agreed timescales as well as costing of tours and the delivery of budgeted margins.
  • Monitoring of trend/salesanalysis suggesting actions to maximise margin.
  • Ensuring delivery of product training to the sales team at brochure launch and as required.
  • Refreshing the product range and identifying and developing new product opportunities.
  • Bringingtomarketaprogrammewhichisfullyresearchedwith their customers.
  • Responsible for the leadership of cross-departmental projects prioritised by the Head of Product & Contracting.
  • Contracting commercially beneficial terms whilst maintaining and improving quality for core accounts.
  • Accountable for the provision of contract information to the contracts team, ensuring Health and Safety audits are complete and supplier management of core accounts.

The successful Product Manager will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in Product Management or Account Management within a travel or leisure business
  • Strong destination knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially focused with excellent negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail

Salary - circa £40K

Job type - Permanent and full time

Hours - Flexible working from home
