Head of Delivery - Risk and Compliance

Location: Belfast, County Antrim
Salary: £50 to £55k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 40 Hours per week.

Must be available to work in Northern Ireland within a 4-8 week period.

About the Role:

The Risk and Compliance team deliver managed services to a range of leading international financial services clients. You will manage this team of c. 15 staff and have responsibility for all aspects of delivery. You will play a key role in embedding business controls and to act as a driving force in our continued development.

Responsibilities:

You will have management oversight of the Company's Risk and Compliance operations and to give assurance that BAU operational activities are being performed in accordance with the Firm's organisational governance framework and in line with client SLAs.

You will deliver dynamic and robust business as usual leadership of the Risk and Compliance team.

You will take responsibility for conduct of internal processes and promote operational excellence within your team. You will provide leadership and support to your team members. You will:

  • Manage and control the work of the Risk and Compliance team;
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing is available on the team to ensure continued excellent customer service.
  • Ensure formal and informal contact with customers is being carried out by the Risk and Compliance team to ensure that the Company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
  • Ensure processes are conducted to continuously high standards and identify where efficiencies and improvements in processes can be made.

About You - Personal Specification:

You should be a confident and organised team-player who is dedicated to the role and to the company, with drive to further your development and growth and that of the company.

  • Graduate with a degree in a finance/management discipline, and/or a professional legal or accountancy qualification
  • A proven record of success in management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience of management of people and resources.
  • A good understanding of the financial services industry, in particular a good understanding of the asset management industry and a good grasp of the wider context of financial regulation.
  • A sound understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities, with a strong understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction and continuous excellent service level delivery.
