Health & Safety Manager Utilities (NEBOSH Qualified)

Position: Health & Safety Manager Utilities

Location: Stafford

Job type: Full time, Permanent with probationary period

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £ 35k circa depending on experience & qualifications

STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASE

About the Role:

The Health & Safety Manager Stafford Utilities role will involve;

  • Conducting inspections of all premises and activities controlled by Stafford;
  • Ensuring all fire procedures are in place;
  • Providing information, instruction & training to staff;
  • Producing reports, and reviews;
  • Conduct investigations relating to health safety and environmental issues;
  • Writing and reviewing procedures, in relation to the corporate HSEQ management systems;
  • Assist/lead in the completion of health safety and environmental assessments;
  • Providing support and advice to ensure all sites are compliant.
  • Contractor / Supplier / Sub contractor control;
  • Attending meetings / liaising with clients;

The role involves travelling across various parts of the UK, with line manager and functional manager reporting lines.

About You:

To be considered for this role you will hold a NEBOSH diploma and have experience and knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality. IT literate, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel, you will have good communication skills and be able to interact with employees, customers and clients either face to face or by telephone.

Experience with SHE assure or equivalent software would also be desirable.

You should have experience of the following:

Health, Safety and Environmental Law, COSHH, waste management, Audits, Inspections, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, OHSAS 18001 (45001), 9001, & 14001 etc.
