Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading international firm of accountants to contribute to the continued development of their Manchester office. Our client, are looking for a technically proficient, highly experienced Manager to oversee and grow a significant client portfolio.

You would take responsibility for leading and developing a successful team of auditors; building and maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all work allocated is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm's professional standards and to the satisfaction of clients and engagement partners.
Take responsibility for managing a key client portfolio.
Take the lead on dealing with large, technically complex clients with minimal partner input.
Manage a number of audit teams and ensures planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives.
Highlight all key issues which may affect the audit opinion to audit partner and makes recommendations for appropriate action.
Take responsibility for the supervision & development of more junior members of staff.
Apply up-to-date technical knowledge at all times, advising team as required.

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified
Diverse & varied experience of large audits and complex groups in addition to dealing with complex technical matters
