Work as a Customer Service Team Member (Delivery Driver) in Erith and enjoy numerous benefits, earning up to £16.76 per hour.

Staffline is recruiting for Customer Service Team Members (Delivery Driver) to work for Ocado, around the Erith area of south-east London.

You will work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, including weekends and night shifts. You'll be on a 13-week rota, working around 40 hours per week, and the last delivery time may be midnight.

The average rate of pay for Ocado Customer Delivery Drivers is from £9.95 per hour to £13.96 per hour:

  • Day-shift work is paid at £10.27 per hour
  • Night-shift work is paid at £11.49 per hour
  • Sunday work is paid at £12.84 per hour
  • Sunday night-shift work is paid at £14.36 per hour

Overtime is paid at £15.40 per hour for day-shift work and £17.24 per hour for night-shift work.

Your time at work

As a Delivery Driver with Ocado, you will drive a 3.5-ton automatic van to:

  • Undertake customer deliveries, acting as an ambassador for Ocado and Ocado business partners
  • Deliver exemplary customer service whilst demonstrating safe, efficient driving
  • Exhibit Ocado-standard behaviour and driving
  • Follow all policies and procedures in a professional manner, ensuring your own and others safety

You must always be on time, and act in a helpful and polite way when dealing with customers.

Please be aware that you may delivery grocery orders containing both meat and alcohol to customer's homes.

Our perfect worker

Our perfect Customer Service Team Member (Delivery Driver) has excellent customer service skills and is happy to work both early starts and late finishes.

Ocado's Delivery Drivers must:

  • Be able to communicate well with customers (in person and by phone)
  • Have experience in both driving roles and customer-facing roles
  • Be knowledgeable about the area in which deliveries will be made
  • Have a current UK (or equivalent) driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Not have been banned from driving in the past 10 years
  • Have experience driving 3.5 ton vehicles
  • Have basic IT skills to operate our hand-held devices
  • Be familiar with SatNav software and devices
  • Be able to climb stairs with ease in order to deliver to addresses in flats and apartments

You'll be required to lift items weighing up to 18kg and you may be driving for long periods of time.

As you'll be representing the Ocado brand, looking smart and well-presented is essential.

To work as a Customer Service Team Member (Delivery Driver), you'll need a valid driving licence in your name, which has no more than 6 points.
