Job Description:

We are OnCue. We've been providing cars and care transport for over 30 years and above all else, we believe every passenger should be better for the journey - whether that's for private, corporate or healthcare passengers.

We are a CQC registered patient transport service provider and are fully licensed and registered with the PCO. Our knowledge and experience mean we know what it takes to deliver great service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to look after every passenger on every journey.

Due to recent expansion we are currently recruiting for Patient Transport and Ambulance Drivers on a self-employed basis. We are offering an immediate start for the right applicants with paid training.

Hours of work are variable dependant on need but averaging 10-12 hours per day during main operational hours - 06:00 to 23:59, Monday to Saturday.
Duties
  • Driving patients to and from non-emergency medical appointments throughout the UK - these could be at NHS or private hospitals/clinics
  • Responsible for ensuring the comfort and safekeeping of all passengers in your car
  • You will be expected to drive in accordance with the Highway Code and in a manner that is both safe and legal
  • Responsible for the wellbeing of your passengers from the moment a booking is sent to you, up to the point the passenger is deposited at their destination.
Required Attributes and Skills
  • A desire to care whilst earning, our passengers can be amongst the most vulnerable and need expert assistance from their driver; the right attitude is the most important attribute.
  • Good all-round communication skills
  • Ability to use App based operating systems
  • Good team player
  • Willingness to take instruction whilst not being afraid to ask questions
  • Flexible approach to work and working hours
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Clean, Full, UK Driving Licence
  • Good command of the English Language - other Languages will be beneficial but not required
  • Over 25 years of age - Insurance requirement
  • Reasonable physical well being

Your role comes under the remit of the Resource and Fleet Department; therefore, you will report to the Resource and Fleet Manager and/or his/her appointed representatives. You will be working with the Control Room staff and take your lead at all times from the Duty Controller and/or his/her appointed assistant.
