Role overview

Sopra Steria is recruiting for an IT Audit and Advisory Consultant to join our growing consultancy team in the Commercial sector. We are a successful, growing team with the freedom to set our own direction and a determination to build sustainable business by putting our clients' success first.

Sopra Steria is recognised as an independent provider of Governance Risk and Compliance services, supporting organisations in effectively managing their risks. GRC sits within Sopra Steria's Consultancy business and forms part of a broader Consultancy Services practice.

Sopra Steria are seeking IT Audit & Advisory Consultant who can work directly with clients, to help them understand and address the risks associated with the technologies that support their business. This will involve interacting with C-Level client stakeholders and client staff, managing multiple assignments, and leading teams of Sopra Steria personnel. The Consultant opportunity involves scoping, planning and managing the delivery of fieldwork, managing small to medium-sized teams, and developing high-quality client deliverables.

We are looking to recruit at the Assistant Manager and Manager grades; progression opportunities are exceptional with the practice set to grow considerably over the next few years.

As we have clients in various UK locations, you must be flexible on travel.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of bringing IT Audit and Assurance expertise with an understanding of business issues (such as the current regulation - GDPR) to help our clients meet their key challenges and opportunities.
  • Shape, create and deliver client engagements that provide high-value outcomes for our clients and sustainable business for Sopra Steria.
  • Experience of working on multiple assignments for different stakeholders concurrently
  • Previous exposure to supporting and managing teams on IT Audit and Assurance assignments
  • Ability to manage other staff, including coaching other staff.
  • Ability to develop and build strong client relationships and contribute to the development of our consulting capability through new approaches and offerings.
  • Experience of managing the delivery of your own and your team's work to ensure we meet required standards and go beyond this to delight our clients.
  • A genuine interest in, matched by a working knowledge of Data Privacy Audit, GDPR, Cyber Security, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and an ability to relate these trends to clients' businesses and risk profiles.
