Front of house Receptionist / Admin
HOURS:37 hours per week
SALARY:£16.000
LOCATION:Hulme/ Manchester

Main Duties & Responsibilities
*Reception duties
*Assisting in the management of the appointment system
*Assisting in the management of medical records
*Assisting in the operation of the telephone system
*Complying with data protection and confidentiality

General Reception Duties
*Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients, doctors and other visitors.
*Ensure that patients without appointments but who need 'urgent consultation' are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner.
*Enter requests on the computer for Home Visits and the doctor is informed.
*Print the necessary paperwork to accompany the notes for home visits.
*Obtain all of the necessary documentation for the registration of new patients.
*Advise patients of relevant charges for private services, accept payment and issue receipts for same.
*Check the pigeon holes and dry wipe board daily for staff reminders and information from the Drs, Reception Manager and Business Manager.
*Action requests for ambulance transportation and details entered in appropriate book.
*Receive specimens from patients ensuring all their details have been recorded whilst following the practice Health and Safety policy.
*Ensure premises are kept clean and tidy in between visits from the cleaning staff.
*Open and distribute mail daily.
*Post mail daily.
*Watch for and report to the Reception Manager any matters affecting safety or security.
*Process requests for repeat prescriptions in line with practice procedures.
