Security Officer Description

The team of security officers will be responsible for manned guarding and safeguarding of all people, premises and assets day-to-day.

Hours per week are an average of 42 at a pay rate of £9.25 per hour working on a scheduled roster of days, nights and weekends in locations Weymouth/Poole/Southampton.

Officer Responsibilities

* Physical security, protection of assets and people

* Assist in maintaining compliance with all health & safety legislation

* Understanding and fully compliant with all site AI's & SOP's

* Clear understanding of individual roles and responsibilities in relation to Incident Response & Escalation

* Patrolling the site locations (internally and externally) to prevent fire, flood, theft and damage or circumstances

* Dealing promptly and professionally with any emergencies, suspicious incidents, events or circumstances

* Be fully conversant with evacuation/evacuation procedures

* Report any buildings issues or system faults to the shift supervisor.

* Assist in discharging the reporting responsibilities under the contract in relation to KPI and performance indicators

* Ensuring that all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational with any issues reported

* Create and provide good quality incident reports either in hand written or electronic format

- Access control

- Internal and external patrols

- CCTV monitoring

- Front of House cover

- Compliance with assignment Instructions

- Ensure the proper execution of all security tasks and that all security posts are properly manned

- Support and escalate out of hours incidents.

Candidates will require):

Essential Preferable

SIA Licence

Relevant previous experience in security SIA CCTV Licence

Checkable 5 year work/education history Full Driving Licence (Own transport)

Excellent communication skills

IT literate

First Aid Certificate

Key Skills:

Able to communicate at all levels

Vigilance and integrity to be displayed at all times

Customer focused

Display a calm and measured manner when faced with challenging situations

Can do, will do attitude

Able to work on your own or as part of a team

Able to retain information
