Job Description:

At Eversheds Sutherland we believe in bringing the client - both internal and external - to the centre of everything we do. To do this we need to understand, anticipate and fulfil the unique needs and expectations of each client. We call this "Client Focus" and to help deliver this core part of our business strategy, we want to recruit people who not only excel in their field but who are also client focused.

When clients attend a meeting at our offices, the Client Support team is often the first team they come into contact with. As such, we pay great attention to and take great pride in the service our Client Support team provides.

We now have an opportunity for an experienced receptionist to join our Client Support team in Leeds. This is a Fixed Term Contract to run for 6 months.

Key responsibilities:
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring clients' needs are met and that the business is presented in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. This will or may include:
• Carrying out reception duties
• Meeting and greeting clients
• Booking meeting rooms and car parking spaces using a computerised booking system
• Checking client areas are maintained to the highest standard
• Reconfiguring and preparing meeting rooms
• Liaising with catering staff
• Occasionally supervising third party contractors
• Dealing with taxi and catering accounts
• Setting up IT equipment (laptops, speakers, presentation screens)
• Covering ground floor security lunch breaks

Skills and experience:
• The successful candidate should have at least 12 months' experience of undertaking a similar role
• He or she will be of a pleasant and friendly disposition with a flexible attitude
• The role is extremely client-centred and candidates will need to have a professional approach in both image and in the way they interact with clients.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, as are organisation and time management skills
• IT literacy, with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, is essential
• Confident use of office equipment and technology
• Strong commitment and a passion for meeting the needs of the internal and external clients
• An organised and methodical approach
• Reliable, flexible and a team player
• Ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure

Key competencies:
We are looking for a skilled person with proven people management experience and the capability to communicate, lead and influence. You will need to be able to work with third party clients as well as internal support functions.

The team operates two shift patterns which change on a weekly basis. The team as a whole covers the hours from 7am to 6pm, therefore candidates should be available to work within those hours.

Entry criteria in addition to the above skills and attributes:
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
• Working knowledge of the full suite of Microsoft products
• Experience of working in a legal service environment or similar blue chip organisation

At Eversheds Sutherland, we believe that innovation comes from a culture of genuine equality and diversity and we are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments individuals may require in the recruitment process, or once in post. We are an LGBT inclusive employer and are Stonewall Corporate Champions

Eversheds Sutherland endeavours to recruit and fill vacancies directly. However, when we do need to engage with agencies, we operate within a preferred supplier list.
