Receptionist

Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Permanent, Part Time - 3 days 1 week and 2 days the next (18/19 hours per week)

An experienced Receptionist is required to join a family run builders merchant which has been supplying building and landscaping materials to trade and the public for over 100 years.

They have 10 branches across the Midlands which stock a vast array of products from luxury kitchens and bathrooms to timber and insulation. We are looking for an experienced Receptionist join their growing team.

Job Description/Overall Scope:

  • Answer main telephone, using a switchboard and screen/direct incoming calls.
  • Answer callers enquires or refer enquires to the relevant department.
  • Greet visitors and notify colleagues of their arrival.
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of staff movements throughout working day.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.
  • Receive incoming mail packages and notify recipient.
  • Assist Company Directors, as requested.
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area.

Successful Candidate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong computer/keyboard skills - mail merge etc.
  • Proven ability to operate a switchboard efficiently
  • Clean and professional presentation
  • Customer Service Orientation
  • Good time/workload management skills
  • Possess a high level of organisation
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Reliable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment

Experience of the following, an advantage: Receptionist, Sales support, Front of house, Meet and Greet, Switchboard, Administrator, Administration, Marketing Administrator, Admin Assistant, Project Admin, office coordinator.
