Job Description:

My client is a successful and prestigious organisation and they are looking for a Receptionist to join the team.

Based in Gateshead, you will be responsible for managing the initial contact with any visitors to the site as well as the overall reception and office area.

Your duties will include: -

  • Greet persons entering the building and direct to correct destination.
  • Manage the room booking process maintaining an appointment dairy.
  • Organise meeting room bookings.
  • Ensure the reception area is presentable and tidy.
  • Answer and direct calls or relay messages as necessary.
  • Sort and distribute post.
  • Provide information to callers e.g. directions, standard information about the company.
  • Monitor visitor access and help maintain security awareness.
  • Provide some general administrative support to the HR Manager.
  • Arrange appropriate refreshments and catering for room bookings as required.
  • Management of stationary ordering and issuing.
  • Arrange travel arrangements for the management team liaising with managers directly.
  • Maintenance of stock items in the kitchens area.
  • Support with administrative duties for other departments as required.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Managing Director.

The successful applicant must have: -

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Competent in use of all Microsoft Office packages.
  • GCSE Math or English (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Driving license.

This position is Part time and you will be requuired to work 2 full days and 1 half day per week - part of a job share.
