H9 Technical have recently been engaged by a leading pharmacuetical manufacturer to assist them with their search for a Production Team Leader.

Our client are a market leader, they are currently doubling their capacity on-site and this role has only recently become available due to internal promotions, which gives you an idea of how keen they are to develop their internal talent.

The Production Team Leader role itself will involve the following on a day-to-day basis:

  • Operational responsibility for the defined area within the Compounding centre.
  • The appropriate management and motivation of personnel with active development of pride in their effectiveness and team work.
  • Compliance of company policies and legislative requirements to include Health and Safety, cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practise), ISO Standards and HR related issues.
  • Contribution and participation as an individual and representative of future development and roll out of the Company strategy.
  • To achieve the Compounding centre Operations directives on a daily, monthly and annual basis.
  • Set operational objective to ensure that activity is delivered on time and to the agreed accredited standard and implement corrective action when deficiencies arise.
  • The implementation of local and corporate management practises which will enhance the Units performance.
  • Meet reporting requirements of the Compounding Centre and Customer needs.
  • The recruitment, development, motivation and retention of quality and committed staff.
  • Assist in maintaining the Quality Assurance Accreditation Programme, complaint with the Manufacturing Specials licence and ISO Standards.
  • Attend management meetings as required and be proactive in all aspects of relevant activity of the Customer.

What the successful Production Team Leader will need:

  • Previous experience in Aseptic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing is essential.
  • Previous experience of managing teams of 10+ people is essential.
  • A relevant degree would be preferable
  • Any industry relevant accreditation/qualifications would be advantageous
